Today we welcome our first guest blogger – Sandra!
”-Ops…. I have never written a blogg before!”
My name i Sandra Bengtsson. I’m working as Sales & Marketing Manager at Stora Blå in Sweden. One of the things I appreciate most when I work at Stora Blå is that they always encourage training, having a healthy lifestyle and to do things that make you happy.
This weekend I combined all of them….
NYC is my second home and the city and my friends over there makes me happy! I love running, it helps me clear my head! So when I got the opportunity to go to NYC and to run a race I could not sat no.
So, this weekend I run the amazing race of NYRR New York Mini 10K. A race where more than 8,400 women gathered in Columbus Circle on Saturday to take on Central Park’s rolling hills. This is a race with a special history that shines through every second of the event. NYRR New York Mini 10K, a race just for women. It’s the world’s original women-only road race, founded in 1972 and named for the miniskirt, and it empowers women of all ages and fitness levels to be active and feel great on the run.
The 46th running of the original women-only road race kicked off with a celebration of the Mini’s “Crazylegs” runners, women who have finished the race 15 times or more. Another group that stands out each year at the Mini is the race’s Swedish contingent, always decked out in blue and yellow. Each June, several dozen passionate ladies make the trip to NYC to be part of the event and this year so did I! 😍
It was an amazing race with so many inspiring women from all over the world! The energy before and during the race was fantastic! So happy to have been a part of it and next race will be The Brooklyn Half Marathon…..
Let’s get home and get some serious training!
Thanks for having me as a guest blogger! Now I know I enjoy that too!
07.00 so excited!
Redy to start!
